In case you don’t know what an escape game is, it’s sort of a puzzle game/RPG hybrid where you’re trapped in a room (it varies, though) and you have to use items found in the room to make a way out. Of course, the way isn’t always straightforward. Most of the time, you also have to solve a series of brain teasers and puzzles to access the object you need to proceed with the game.
While Linkage is easier and shorter than the last game (and fan favorite) Vision (http://neutralxe.net/esc/vision.html), it also introduces us to fancy new graphics and animation that is an improvement from past Neutral games yet is still reminiscent of his/her unique style. What I especially love about Neutral games is that they are so carefully and beautifully crafted that playing the game is never frustrating because you get to admire all the lovely details of every nook and cranny.
When I first started playing escape games, I heavily relied on walkthroughs, but now I’m quickly learning to go through an entire game by myself, and the feeling is just immensely satisfying. Even if you’re a newbie at this whole escape game business, it’s never too late to start! :)

Today, I was talking to a couple of my friends (yes, in fact, I do have friends), one of whom I haven’t seen for a long while. So I told her, “Hey, I haven’t seen you at all since the start of this sem.” And she goes, “But it’s only been a week!”
And I’m in shock. Because this short span of five days felt like months! I’m already so tired from everything that has to be done. I can’t imagine another 15 weeks of this.
Thankfully, God President Noy and the school administrators have heard my prayers and decided to call off classes for majority of this coming week. Just enough time to catch up on my sleep debt and also my school work! The only sad part is that my Japanese Food Culture class has also been affected by all the holidays, so our class won’t be meeting for another week. What! If that means less chances to eat yummy Japanese food, then I don’t want the holidays anymore. :(
On a more positive note, check out my new food blog The Lunch Buddies over at http://thelunchbuddies.blogspot.com! It’s a collaboration between my friend Bea and me, and we take turns posting food/restaurant reviews on it. So far we’ve featured the fantastic Indian food place Assad Cafe and grilled seafood at Davao Tuna Grill. So do drop by and leave a comment! :D
On an even positive-r note, it’s November! The days are getting shorter and colder, and you know what that means~ Christmas is soon to descend upon us! Hurrah!
