I’m so glad that I’m not as big a fan as I used to be because then my little heart would just break. :(
I loved him so much in Yukan Club too. :(
So, well. At least it’s not Super Junior DBSK some other Kpop group! (I’m just kidding, don’t kill me)
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Posted: September 4, 2010 Filed under: Fangirling, Hollywood! | Tags: Jake Gyllenhaal, Movie: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 2 Comments »This is not a movie review. Obviously, the movie sucks. The big budget is there, and we can all see it in the amazing set design and CGI… but the plot, especially the ending, is just HORRIBLE. Argh. It’s so frustrating to sit through all 100+ minutes of the movie and end with that… ridiculous ending. Hey Disney, please hire a new writer!!!
And it’s disappointing too, because I loved the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie so so much mainly because of the plot (and of course, because of Johnny Depp, but that’s another story), and I was so psyched that at last this was the “new” Pirates franchise. And then. Boom, gone.
Dear Disney, as a Management student, I have only this to tell you: go hire another BETTER writer, write a BETTER script, and make a BETTER sequel. Please, please, please, pleaaaaaaase.
Oh, did I say this wasn’t going to be a movie review? Sorry, got a bit carried away.
Actually, the real point of this blog post is this: JAKE GYLLENHAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(See, I am capable of fangirling over people who are not Korean!!!)
JAKE GYLLENHAAL JAKE GYLLENHAAL JAKE GYLLENHAAL JAKE GYLLENHAAL
Have you seen The Day After Tomorrow? It’s got JAKE GYLLENHAAL in it and it is so awesome. Because of JAKE GYLLENHAAL. (And Emmy Rossum… what ever happened to her, anyway?)
I haven’t seen Brokeback Mountain and I don’t ever plan on doing so. Maybe when I’m 60 and could care less about ______________. (You are free to fill in the blanks with your imagination haha!)
I haven’t seen Donnie Darko!!! Why! I’ve been planning to see it for ages. Argh. Is it scary? I get scared really easily. Maybe I’ll watch it when I’m 30.
Charmie’s Life Goals
To do when I’m 30
- Watch Donnie Darko
To do when I’m 60
- Be alive
- Watch Brokeback Mountain (Maybe I should postpone it to when I’m 80… Hm.)

Korean music!
Posted: September 2, 2010 Filed under: Fangirling | Tags: CNBlue, IU, Younha 2 Comments »Before you all run in the opposite section, I’d like to tell you that NO this post is not a fangirling post!!! I’m here to actually honestly share some music which I find to be really nice and really different from the typical Kpop stuff. The point is not that they are Korean, but that they are nice!!! Okay? Good. :D
- Younha - I’ve been listening to her past albums for the last few weeks and I have to say, she is AWESOME! She’s not your typical Kpop singer; she’s super talented: she plays the piano and the guitar, she writes her own songs, and she can speak Korean, Japanese and English FLUENTLY. In fact, she’s already made a name for herself in Japan as well as her native Korea! Here’s one of her songs that I really like. It’s not her most popular, but since I’m new to her music, I only know a few of them. Nice sweet song “Peace Love and Ice Cream” (isn’t that just the cutest title ever?) And here’s a rock song (I may be wrong, I can’t tell between genres) from the same album “Break Out” Plus, an English song from her! Her English is flawless, I can’t believe it.
- CNBlue - I’ve talked about them before here, but I just love them so much! They’re relatively new, but they’ve already come out with 2 Korean mini-albums and a couple Japanese albums. Their music is in the soft-rock genre(again I’m not sure) but they’re not into sad ballads like their labelmate FT Island, which is why I love them (although I love FT Island too). Here’s their 2nd single “LOVE” and here’s a super cute sweet song from them “Love Light”
- IU - This girl is just incredible. She sang this song when she was only 15, and her voice is insanely good. “Mia” (the MV features Sandara Park’s brother Cheondoong) Sadly, her label has been making her sing less mature stuff and more cutesy stuff lately, such as this song called “Marshmallow” She was actually discovered when she sang acoustic covers of the ever popular Gee by SNSD, Lies by Big Bang and Sorry Sorry by Super Junior
See? Kpop is not just full of stuck-in-your-head choruses and creepy synchronized dancing!!! There are loads more fantastic Korean singers of course, but these are just some that I’ve discovered so far. My journey into Korean music has just begun!
Sweet dreams are made of…
Posted: August 8, 2010 Filed under: Fangirling, Life Experiences, Randomness | Tags: dreams, Nichkhun 4 Comments »Cute Kpop idols!!! Kkkk…
Now why do I say this? Because last night, I dreamt of the one and only perfect Thai prince, Nichkhun!!!
If you’re not a Kpop fan, then the only thing you need to know about Nichkhun is that EVERYONE loves him. He is the guy who Korean women of all ages swoon over, whose perfection all Korean men are envious of.
And last night, I had a dream about him!!!! (I sound like a total idiot, don’t I?)
I actually very rarely remember my dreams. I usually have this huge epic dream, and I wake up giddy and happy, but I FORGET everything. But today, my memory didn’t fail me, that’s why I’m blogging about my dream.
This post is also partially inspired by Bea’s post about her dream. :)
I will spare you the details, but let’s just say that in Charmie’s fantasy land, Nichkhun and I were FRIENDS, and that he came to see me and gave me P60 to congratulate me because Ateneo won a basketball game. Yes, apparently in my mind, that was what people do.
Also we happened to be in Hong Kong!
And then we went to a mall where we looked for a bathroom, and they couldn’t find it, because the sign that pointed to the bathroom said “John”. And so we all went to the john, and apparently the john is not just a bathroom, but also like a spa/public bath type of place.
The details have gone so sketchy in my mind already. :( Someday I will forget all about it, that’s why I’m putting it here, so that it will be preserved for the rest of my life~ ^^
(BTW, I am WAY late with the 30-day Drawing Challenge. I actually have been drawing them, but I’m just too lazy to edit and post them here. One of these days, I’ll post them all up at the same time!)
Aaaahhhh, maybe if I watch a lot of SHINee tonight before going to bed, I’ll dream about them too! :D
30-Day Drawing Challenge: Day 9
Posted: August 3, 2010 Filed under: Artist in the Making, Fangirling | Tags: 30-Day Drawing Challenge, Ga-in, Jokwon, We Got Married 2 Comments »Favorite TV show… I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I do watch a lot of Korean TV shows on Youtube, and this has to be one of my favorites: We Got Married (우리 결혼했어요)! This show pairs up Korean celebrities as a pretend “married couple” and they have to do things that regular married people do, like live together, take English lessons and donate blood.
What? Those aren’t things that married people do? Really? I had no idea!
This is one of the couples of We Got Married, Ga-in and Jokwon. I just realized… I made a mistake writing Ga-in’s name!!! So now, she’s named “Ga-an”. Sorry.
See you all tomorrow!
As a fangirl…

I don’t care about what you say any more. Why should I post stuff that only my readers like? This is my blog.
I’m only kidding. Please come back. Pleeeeeeease :3
Woohoo! I love SHINee, I really do. ♥♥♥ Especially Taemin! That dude with the long brown/red hair. Can you BELIEVE he’s only 17? (I was going to put some Google-Translate Korean before I remembered that I know someone who knows Korean and reads my blog!!! Haha. Helloooo~)
Tomorrow, I’ll put up some more movie reviews! :D I don’t know if you’re enjoying them haha! In fact, because I don’t know what you guys think about my blog, I’m making a survey! Whee~ Surveys are so much fun. (But that will have to wait til tomorrow because I’m tired and lazy. As if you’re not used to me being that way yet. Psh.
