The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you meet that person.
The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren’t interested in wasting time with people you don’t really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don’t focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.
How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don’t succeed. Don’t give up when you haven’t yet even started! Be courageous.
What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don’t ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.
Who is your true self:
You like privacy very much because you enjoy spending time with your own thoughts. You like to disappear when you cannot find solutions to your own problems, but you would feel better if you learned to share your thoughts with a person you trust.
My comments:
Wow. I kind of just randomly guessed through the personality test but actually, a lot of this accurately describes me. 8D

40 random things about me
Posted: November 5, 2010 Filed under: Memes 8 Comments »Honestly, you guys probably know all there is to know about me. I’ve even done this taggie thingy meme (I’ve finally learned the right name for these things thanks to Tifa) before, back when it was only 25 things about me (PROOF). I’ve also done it when it was 8 things (PROOF). I’m pretty sure I’ve done it many many other times, but I can’t find them right now, so I’ll just post them next time.
Anyway, I’m doing it again because Tifa tagged me! :D Hurrah!
Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 40 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.
At the end, choose 40 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you.
Insane!!! 40 people??? If I had a hard time tagging 25 people, how could I possibly tag 40? Anyway, as usual I’m not tagging anyone… except BEA!!! That’s right, Bank of East Asia!!!! Do this meme!!! XD
Ugh, all right. Heeeeeeeere we go. I don’t even know what to say. :(
- Okay, let me start by telling the story of the time I got lost in Megamall. I told this story lots of times during Chinese writing class (作文) and I’m pretty sure I’ve blogged about it at least once in my lifetime, but anyway, it won’t hurt to talk about it again!
So I was maybe 6-7 at the time? I’m not sure. I was in SM Megamall with my family (parents, aunts, uncles, etc.) when we decided to go to the restrooms. After using the toilet, I came out of the cubicle and followed my mom out of the bathroom. Unfortunately, the person I followed only looked like my mom from behind and wasn’t really my mom. At that point, it was too late for me as the big mall with lots of people disoriented me so I had no idea how to get back to the restroom to look for my mom. I saw another person who looked like my mom from behind (I was a stupid child, or rather, I was panicking already so I didn’t think at all before acting) so I followed her out into the parking building. Unfortunately again, it was NOT my mom and now I was lost in the parking building.
I wandered around, going down the car ramps, just basically doing what lost kids do: wander around and cry. I was also a clumsy kid back then so I fell a lot and rolled down the car ramps, then I would stop myself from rolling down some more and get up and cry some more. It’s a very sad experience actually, although I don’t remember it so well, I still recall bits of it and while I may not feel sad anymore, I still pity my little past self.Anyway, after wandering some more, and getting scratches all over myself, a woman saw me and decided to help me (God bless her, whoever she was). She took me into the main mall and lo and behold, there were my parents on the upper floor. They saw me and after a teary reunion, we said thanks to the nice lady and went home.
I don’t really feel bad about the whole thing now, but my parents felt really guilty then for not watching over me more carefully. Dear Mom and Dad, I’m sorry for bringing you so much trouble, but thanks for finding me because otherwise I wouldn’t have a great story to tell, and it would just be a sad story of how I got lost and never got home again. :( Anyway, this is all a bit too long, sorry.
- If you ask me what my favorite color, favorite song, favorite movie, favorite ice cream flavor, favorite whatever is, I won’t be able to answer you. That’s because I don’t have any favorites. I do have an “official” favorite color (blue) which I tell everyone, but really, my color preferences differ all the time, depending on my mood. Sometimes, it’s green; sometimes, it’s pink; sometimes, it’s black.
- If you ask me what my favorite food is though, I will always, always say ice cream. And I will always, always prefer ice cream to anything else.
- I’m not good at saving money. In fact, I spend a lot, usually on food, but occasionally on useless things such as colored pens and Post-its and whatever.
- I don’t even use Post-its, although I have a bunch that I bought a few months ago because they were on sale (they’re still on sale. Stupid sale.). I did use a lot while working as an intern, but as a student, I never really use them. I do however, use this application called Stickies that’s always on my desktop, and that I always fill with reminders, useless information. Sometimes, I think this is a bad thing because I get used to it and I end up ignoring the notes that I leave for myself in all caps such as “PHILO LONG TEST TOMORROW READ ALL READINGS.”
- I believe that the rule of punctuation that the period must always come with the close quotation mark is false. I always did it my way (where the period comes before the quotation mark “like this”.), but then I got to English 12 and got lots of minus marks because of it. :(
- I used to watch a lot of anime. I even wrote a whole bunch of fanfiction which is still up on FanFiction.net. Actually there’s this ongoing collaboration since 2006 between me and a high school friend that’s still ongoing. I’ve been meaning to finish the epilogue for months but never found the time to do so. I promise to finish it before the sembreak ends!!!
- I wrote a lot of ”stories” back in high school, usually on long pad or yellow pad, and then I would pass it around to other people who would continue the story. At some point, I also used other things like manila paper, scratch paper, etc. This is probably why I didn’t learn much in high school.
- Right now, Bea and I are working on an exciting new blog-related project…. so watch out for it during the next couple of days! :)
- I’ve been learning to play Pachelbel’s Canon in D on the piano for the past few days (just a watered-down, simpler version of it, though). I pretty much know the whole song now, but I’m slow and I make a lot of mistakes. I’m trying to practice more so that at least when I tell people I play the piano, they would believe me after I showcase my awesome skills for them to hear. XD
- As of this point in time, I have tried the following cuisines: Chinese, Filipino, American, French, Italian, Greek, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Macanese, Fookien, Taiwanese. I’m pretty sure there are more, but I don’t remember.
- The name “Yves” is actually French for “yew tree” which is, I’m surmising, a type of tree. It’s also originally a male name and pronounced “yeev” (rhyming with “eve”) and not like “ives” (rhyming with “hives”) as my mom meant for it to be pronounced when she decided to name me that. It is, in fact, the same name as Yves Saint-Laurent.
- My favorite holiday is National Heroes’ Day. Yes, I’m just kidding. I guess my favorite holiday has to be Christmas, since there aren’t any big holidays in the Philippines really worth celebrating. I wish we had Thanksgiving though.
- I once had a Thanksgiving dinner while I was in Hong Kong. The HKBU Chaplain’s Office sponsored it and invited international students to come. We paid only HKD50 for a fantastic dinner including turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, cornbread, buttered vegetables, bread pudding, and lots of other food. It was like heaven.
- Back when we lived in a bigger house, our family had dogs and cats but the dogs were locked up in a cage and the cats minded their own business. Actually, the cats were stray cats who just wandered in one day and decided to make our house their new home. We fed them, but they pooped all over the place and the mother cat even gave birth to little kitties in our garage. I liked them because they just kept to themselves and didn’t disturb us much. On the other hand, I didn’t like our dog because he was loud and whenever he is let out of the cage, he would follow us around and I was scared that he would bite me so I just shooed him away. I think he liked me, but I didn’t really treat him that well. Dear doggie, I’m sorry. :(
- I once took care of a Malabar chestnut plant (aka money tree) for Environmental Science class. I named him Chestnutty and he grew big and strong. But my mom didn’t want to keep the plant so I gave him to my cousin. According to my cousin, he’s growing nice and tall now and even grew flowers and stuff but I haven’t seen him ever since I gave him away. (By him, I mean the plant, not my cousin.)
- I’m not good at drawing, as you can see from some drawings I made for the 30-Day Drawing Challenge, which I just realized I still haven’t completed. So much for 30 days. :(
- I don’t watch much TV, and I spend almost all of my free time on the computer. Of course, I do watch a lot of Korean TV shows and movies online. When I do watch TV though, I often watch cartoons like Phineas and Ferb, Fairly Oddparents, etc., because those are the shows that are usually on TV when I watch. I do like them though. They’re stupid, but I think that’s the point.
- I once watched an entire cartoon series called Clone High on Youtube. It’s a cartoon, but it’s not exactly kid-friendly. It’s really funny though.
- I also read a lot. But you won’t find me reading all the time lately because the computer takes up most of my time. When I do read though, I read without stopping. I finished the entire Harry Potter 5 in one day. And that was right after I finished reading Harry Potter 4 the previous day. My first real book was Charlotte’s Web. Of course, before that I’ve read lots of little storybooks from the library. I read so much, I think I’ve read the entire library when I was in grade school.
- I became a Kpop fan after a college blockmate introduced me to Super Junior. That sparked my interest, but I didn’t really get into it until my 3rd year of college when another blockmate re-introduced me to Super Junior when they released their new songs like Sorry Sorry and Neorago. Since then , I gradually go to know other groups like Girls’ Generation, Big Bang, FT Island, SHINee, 2NE1, etc. It’s been a fun ride so far, and while I may occasionally feel like I’m out of the loop when it comes to non-Korean music, I don’t care because I was never really into mainstream American music anyway.
- I’m running out of things to say!!! This is so hard!
- I like cheese. But not all cheese, because I haven’t tried the really pungent cheeses yet so I can’t say if I like them or not. But I like cheese on pasta, cheese on pizza, cheese on sandwiches, cheese on baked meat/fish/whatever.
- I used to play a lot of video games on the PC and on game consoles like Playstation, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, etc. because my dad is a gamer. But I haven’t played a lot recently because my dad has stopped buying new consoles or better gaming PCs and I can’t really play any new games on my laptop.
- I don’t know how to use Photoshop!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I use Adobe Fireworks for all my graphic design work. I should really start learning…. :( I find it hard because it’s so different and it’s not exactly beginner friendly with all its technical terms and unique control keys.
- When I go out with my friends, I always make sure to try something new, whether it be food, or an experience, or whatever. This is mainly because with my family, we just go to the usual same places and I miss out on lots of things, so I make it a point to drag my friends to new places that I wanna try out. :D
- I can’t believe sembreak is ending already!!! I didn’t even feel the last few weeks. Usually on sembreaks, I spend the first week going out with friends, the second week lounging around at home, and the third week feeling bored. But I haven’t even gotten to the bored part yet and it’s already ending!!! :((
- I’m not doing NaNoWriMo this year because I’ve decided to put off all non-academic or non-school related stuff for the 2nd sem. I swear. My grades last sem were pretty bad, and I can’t really afford to get bad grades on my final sem EVER, so I am erasing the word procrastination from my brain, and I’m going to do nothing but study. WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING, I AM NOT JOKING OKAY!!!!
- I have terrible study habits. This explains the bad grades. I try to get by by just paying attention in class, and cramming, and stuff, but it’s really impossible to do well in college like that. :( I blame my high school >:( No, I am just kidding. Because a lot of my high school classmates turned out to be really good students, and I’m not one of them. So there’s no one to blame but me.
- My hair takes several hours to dry on its own because it’s just so thick and bushy. It’s not even Hermione-bushy where her hair just fans out in a cute triangle shape, but mine like bulges out in a weird round shape and sticks out in all the wrong places. I’d go get it rebonded, but the last time I did that, my hair was severely damaged and after a couple of months when the straightness faded, my hair was in the worst condition ever. I don’t know what to doooooooooo T_T Maybe I should eat a lot of carrots, or something.
- I used to be allergic to chicken. CHICKEN! I know! That’s the worst thing to ever happen to a kid, isn’t it? Well, except maybe for tonsilitis, because you can’t eat ice cream (ICE CREAM!!! I would die if that ever happened to me). But yeah. I spent the first 13-14 years of my life allergic to chicken. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t eat chicken. Oh, no. I ate chicken all right. When I was younger, like 7-8 or something, my skin would break out into itchy patches and my face would puff out. But it eventually got better and the allergy moved to my nose, so I would get a stuffed and/or runny nose, and occasionally even a fever. Some time after that, I took medicine to alleviate the allergies, and now I’m not allergic to chicken at all. I do occasionally get allergies in the morning though, so if you find me sneezing and sniffing a lot, it’s not that I’m sick, okay?
- While I was at the Cebu Pacific airport with my friends going to Cebu, I accidentally used the male restrooms. It’s a really funny story, actually. The restrooms there didn’t have doors but had these walls which you had to walk around to get to the cubicles and sinks and stuff. And there were really small signs that showed you which direction you had to go to go to the female or male restroom. Apparently, I didn’t see these signs so I walked straight towards the right. I didn’t even find it strange that there were urinals in there, and I just walked into a cubicle and did my business. Then when I stepped out, there were 2 foreigner guys washing their hands, and there was this brief awkward moment where I stared at them and they were making jeering noises. And then I was like omigosh what am I doiiiiiiiing (but just in my mind) and I turned and walked as fast as I could out of there. Man. That was a really fun experience.
- I used to blog a lot about things like daily life, going out with friends, school (ESPECIALLY school), and of course, can’t forget my fawning over feminine looking males. Since this is a personal blog, it’s expected that I would blog about things that mean something to me, but now I have a hard time discerning what I should and shouldn’t put in my blog since I’ve found out that there are a lot of people who read my blog without me knowing about it (since my blog posts are announced on Facebook). That’s kind of creepy, because I am Facebook friends with my teachers and my childhood crushes and my current crushes and whatever, so if I write stuff here that are really personal, then I would be embarrassing myself in front of them. At least my parents don’t read my blog. At least, I think they don’t. :|
- This is insane! I’m currently at 2868 words with this blog post ALONE. Who said I can’t do Nanowrimo? (You) Oh, okay. :| Well, granted, I’ve been working on this for 2 days now. In fact, I commend you if you’re still with me even after I talked about so many stupid mundane things. This is actually fun. It reminds me of back when I blogged about just whatever comes into my mind. Although those blog posts did sound vapid and shallow, at least they were easy. Easy to write on my part, and easy to read for you, I guess. I can’t even imagine how many times in this post I’ve used the words “totally” or “you know” or “especially”. I don’t even care anymore!
- A long long time ago, I blogged in Taglish a lot because my readers were just a bunch of close blogging friends. But now I blog (or at least, try to) in straight English. By which I mean, including punctuation, grammar, and spelling. It hurts my eyes to read blogs that are written in text-speak and at some point in the past, I blogged in straight English but without proper capitalization and punctuation but maybe that was because I had short fingers and had a hard time reaching the shift key with my pinky. Hey, that rhymes!
- Back when I was in 4th grade and we had typing class, I sucked really really bad. It took me maybe 5 minutes just to type “The quick fox jumps over the lazy dog.” But now I’m really good at typing because when I was in high school or something, I took a typing class at YMCA with a lot of kids who were maybe 3 years younger than me. My mom originally enrolled my sister into that class but she couldn’t make it at the last minute so I agreed to do it. And I have to say, I was the best typist in that class. :) Of course, the countless number of hours I spent in front of a computer also contributed to my typing skills today. :P
- Today is my sister’s birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHOBSSSS :D
- Nobody has ever surprised me or anything on my birthday. Oh wait. Except for that one time when my college friends bought me a box of revel bars and brownies. Awwww that was so yummy. I mean, that was so nice. :P Thanks, friends! :D
- I never really imagined that I would end up doing all of this graphic design stuff for orgs. I mean, I was never the artsy type in high school, and I really wanted to write for The Guidon or Heights or something. But then I realized I’m no good at writing, especially compared to all the amazing writers in Ateneo, so now I’m sticking to graphic design. Although I know I’m not the best at it, at least it’s something I know how to do that not everyone else can do better than me, so at the very least, I’m comforted by that idea.
- Dream places to visit in the future: Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong (again), Greece, Paris. That’s about it, for now. :P This doesn’t mean I don’t want to go to other places, it’s just that these are the places I would want to visit before I die. :)
I’m at 3423 words! Wow! I haven’t written so much in a while. In fact I’ve been working on this thing for three days already. XD WOW! If you’re still with me, then leave a little comment mentioning something about chocolate-covered strawberries, okay? :D It’s so I would know if I typed all of this for nothing, haha! Thanks a lot for reading and feel free to do this meme! :)
